YOOPERLITE

First discovered in 2017 along the Michigan shores of Lake Superior by acclaimed rockhound Erik Rintamaki, Yooperlites are a syenite rock that contains highly fluorescent sodalite, causing them to glow a bright, campfire-coal orange when using a long-wave ultraviolet light. The name itself comes from the local term for the inhabitants of Michigan’s wild and beautiful Upper Peninsula. These people are commonly referred to as “the yoopers”, for which the material is named. The stone may look like your average water eroded syenite rock, but it has beautiful magic hidden within. They are not generally considered rare, but are uniquely identifiable by their fiery, fluorescent appearance.

YOOPERLTE METAPHYSICS

Metaphysically, Yooperlites are considered a stone of the Throat and Third Eye Chakras. It is said that Yooperlite has the ability to create necessary change and success by contributing to the finding of one’s voice and speaking personal truths. Yooperlites are also considered a stone of logic, reason, clarity, and intuition, allowing its user the opportunity to create focus-oriented thought patterns that can manifest into personal fulfillment and satisfaction. Physically, Yooperlites are said to be a fantastic aid for esophageal discomfort and disease. It is also said that Yooperlite can aid the mind with dream recall and memory loss.
